The chequerboard is translated into a three-dimensional envelope of folded metal panels that wraps the rounded stadium and changes appearance through light, shadow and integrated illumination. The seating bowl is organised around an elevated public platform reached by broad ramps, while operational flows remain at ground level. In the survey area, the stadium, auxiliary pitches, athletics facilities and sports halls are arranged around a public sports park, with the main approach directed from the Borongaj intermodal terminal.

In the sixth round, the jury considered projects that were highly regarded in nearly all key aspects, including programme, urban placement, relationship with the local context and architectural articulation.

At this stage, subtle differences between the remaining proposals determined the selection of the ten finalists, which the jury subsequently ranked and awarded.
